Bellevue Plantation House
Located in Waterford in the south-east of Barbados, family owned Bellevue Plantation House is set within three acres of secluded woodland, sweeping lawns and lush tropical vegetation. It is just 20 minutes from the international airport and 10 minutes from the famed west coast beaches and Holetown.
Bellevue has a strong British heritage which dates back to the 18th century. The House, spread over 10,000 square feet, was built between 1735 and 1750, making it one of the first plantations in Barbados.
Its British owners, Paul and Sarah, have sensitively refurbished the property in 2008 to reflect an ambience of informal modern luxury in the grand style of a bygone era. Many features of the original style have been maintained, including the dual stairway leading to the large wrap-around verandah on the second floor.
The property’s full-service team are on hand to handle all requests. Whether for families or groups, Bellevue offers an authentic Caribbean experience.
