Deluxe Two-Bedroom Banas – Pineapple, Mango, Cherry, Avocado & Coconut Our spacious deluxe villas are designed for maximum comfort and privacy inside & outside; these two-bedroom banas are also available as ‘deluxe bana for 1-2 persons’ with the second bedroom closed. Each villa has two air-conditioned bedrooms with walk-in closet, safe and writing desk, - a master bedroom with a king-size four poster bed and a second bedroom with twin queens, each with en suite bathroom. The bathrooms feature double vanity sinks with recessed medicine cabinets, a large shower and an en suite toilet. The utility room with washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing boards is there for your personal laundry requirements. The fully fitted kitchens with fine European stainless steel appliances are a chef’s paradise: fridge with freezer & ice maker, gas stove, oven, Nespresso machine, coffee maker, microwave, kettle, blender and dishwasher along with all crockery & cooking utensils, cooking island and breakfast bar or dining table. Each bana also features comfortable living areas and reading nooks, direct dial telephones, stereo system with CD-player and wireless internet; all windows are mosquito screened. One-Bedroom Banas – Paw Paw & Rock Fig Our one-bedroom villas Paw Paw and Rock Fig are quietly nestled on the edge of the cliff above the beach. A view with a room... and a room with all the comforts and amenities imaginable. Both air-conditioned banas are spacious and utterly private. Your beautifully appointed kitchen is fully equipped with fine European stainless steel appliances, truly a gourmet cook’s dream: fridge with freezer & ice maker, gas stove, oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, kettle, blender and coffee maker along with all crockery and cooking utensils. The bedroom has a stuning four-poster king size bed, a writing desk, ceiling fan, flat screen cable TV, direct dial telephone,stereo-system with CD-player, wireless internet access, safe and iron and ironing board. The upholstered love seat allows you to enjoy the gorgeous view through the bay window. The en suite bathroom has double vanity sinks with recessed medicine cabinets, a shower and a separate toilet. Maca Bana has a number of green luxury initiatives: Reduction of energy usage & waste: consumption reducing appliances, water‐/electricity‐efficient washing machines, solar powered electricity & hot water, daily energy‐saving practices,energy‐saving light bulbs, timed and photo‐cell or motion‐sensored lighting, shampoo dispensers to cut down plastic waste, guest soaps without wrappers. Recycling & preserving: water‐conserving toilets, biological filter for garden ponds, composting, no chlorine/chemicals in pool, recycling of used office paper. Use of local products: includes locally made soaps and flowers for the villas, weddings and restaurant functions, and the restaurant purchases as much as possible locally grown products from farmers and fishermen. The local building crew used local/regional woods such as Grenadian white cedar, Guyanese wood, etc. An organic farm of 15 acres is on site and provides employment for local community as well as preserves the existing large rainforest trees and agricultural land from building developments. The 'Slow Food Tour' offers visitors an opportunity to meet the farmers and even harvest ingredients for their meal. Similarly, the 'Art & Nature Tour' enables the visitor to be inspired by the vigour and beauty of the rainforest. Staff & social commitment: All our Grenadian staff stays employed full time through the low season; we provide practical training for students from TAMCC college; regular support of local charities such as ‘Chores’ (visiting specialists perform vital heart & eye surgeries), Grenada Heart Foundation and Bel Air Children’s home.
